When was the last time you did something that brought you pure joy? Joy is a wonderful vibration to experience. It opens the heart chakra and spreads incredible loving and compassionate energy through the body.
Sometimes in life we lose touch with the experience of joy. We get busy at work, we have deadlines to meet, endless to do lists and tight schedules to manage. Joyful living is often lost in the midst of stress and emotions, fatigue and negative thoughts.
So how can we re-claim joy in our lives? A good place to start is to jot down on a piece of paper ten things that bring you the most joy and happiness in life. Then look at your current life situation. How prevalent are these things in your life? And more importantly, how can you incorporate more of these things?
Joy creates an uplifting frequency that initiates powerful healing effects on the body-mind-spirit. Joy helps to shift stress and anxiety from day to day life. It reduces the effects of stress hormones on our physiology so that our physical bodies function better. When we are joyful we move into our heart centre and feel a deep connection with all of life. It creates a shift in our level of consciousness so that we feel more loving and compassionate towards others. Joy is a feedback loop, when we radiate joy, we receive joy and positivity back.
Whether its listening to your favourite song full blast on the stereo, swimming in the ocean, practising yoga, driving through the mountains, dancing, spending quality time with a loved one, taking photographs of landscapes, travelling or moving into a new career, make sure you keep incorporating your joys into your life.
It’s simple, do what makes you feel alive and happy.
Then you will be a beacon for Joy.
